How to apply

So if you are creative, outgoing, self-motivated, between 18 and 25 and love to write and make videos, here's what you need to do to apply. Read the job description, application requirements and official rules, write a statement (maximum 500 words) describing how you would use your creativity and skills in the Spokester position; how you would bring a unique perspective to the role and what personal goals, vision and expectations you would set for yourself for your year as Young & Free Maine Spokester. Complete the application form including a link to your online portfolio or attached examples of your work, the written statement, and current resume, before 3 p.m. on May 19, 2014. 

"If I were a Spokester" phase

Then, if you are chosen as one of the Finalists you will move on to the "If I were a Spokester" phase. Finalists in this phase will be required to produce a short video based on their application written statement, and provide a sample blog on a financial specific topic. These will be posted on the web site for the public vote phase. It's up to you to campaign for votes. The public vote will help your chances of getting the ultimate job as the Young & Free Maine Spokester. Plus, runners-up will each receive a $250 gift card and $50 for expenses.
