Who will be the next Young & Free Maine Spokester? Tomorrow, we'll find out who moves on to the voting phase of the competition. The finalists will be challenged with extra blogs and videos. They'll experience a typical day in the life of a Spokester as they tackle radio interviews, campaign for votes using social media, and spread the word about Young & Free Maine. This is such an exciting time!
I can't wait to see what the next Spokester does during his or her term. How will the next Spokester put their own special twist on the Young & Free Maine style? One thing is for sure, we have an excellent group of applicants and based on the videos and blogs, I know we've got a tough decision ahead of us in the voting phase.
I want to extend a special congratulations to all of this year's entrants. Applying to be the Young & Free Maine Spokester is hard work. Putting yourself out there is never an easy thing. I am so proud to see the quality of work coming from my peers and the confidence each applicant had as they told their story. Again, congratulations to this year's entrants.
The end of my term is very bittersweet. I am so thankful for the experiences and opportunities I've had this year. Young & Free Maine gave me new skills, fresh ideas, and a boost of confidence. I will miss the fun events and the lovely credit union folks I've met along the way. I'll miss Spokester Skype calls, Fresh Baked Fridays, and of course, The Green Machine. While I'm sad to be handing over the keys and passing the torch, I am looking forward to the new opportunities that await me. Young & Free Maine has opened so many doors for me, and I can't wait to see where they lead.
I'm looking forward to making the most of my final weeks as your Young & Free Maine Spokester. Stay tuned for tomorrow's announcement of the Young & Free Maine finalists. There's a special surprise, too! Any guesses?
