Community Credit Union hosted their 4th Annual Poker Run earlier this month. Participants jumped on their snowmobiles and rode to poker stops throughout Sabattus, Lewiston, Greene, Turner and Leeds. After visiting five or more stops, the riders all met at Reggies Kawasaki Ski Doo to play a hand of poker for a chance to win cash prizes! They also enjoyed a traditional Franks and Beans dinner, which was followed up by a fireworks show. The following prizes were paid out: $500 for the best hand, $350 for the second best hand, $250 for the third best hand and $250 for the worst hand. There were 29 poker hands dealt, with $2,290 raised for the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger! It was one of Community Credit Union’s most successful years yet, with a large turnout and incredible support from the community and sponsors. Maine’s Credit Unions raised over $674,000 for Ending Hunger last year alone, and Community Credit Union wasted no time getting started early in 2017!
