CU's Volunteering Reaches Record High

Credit unions give back to their community in so many ways. In 2012, credit union staff and directors donated over 41,000 hours of their time through many different volunteer efforts.

This week, April 21 - 27, 2013, is National Volunteer Week. In honor of the special occasion, Maine's Credit Unions announced that in 2012 credit union employees volunteered in their communities a record-breaking 41,536 hours. That's a 19% increase from the year before. Wow!

At the very core of the credit union philosophy, it's all about people helping people. With credit union staff and board members donating their time, our communities become a better place.
