Jump start into spring by reorganizing, decluttering, and saving money!
When spring weather arrives, the last thing I want to do is miss out on good weather. After a long winter, I'm sure you feel the same itching desire to soak up every moment of sunlight. In an effort to prepare for springtime weather, I have compiled a list of things you can do before the wonderful warm sunshine arrives, so you don't end up stuck inside on a beautiful day!
Spring To Do List
Clean out your wardrobe: Cleaning out a closet full of clothes that haven't been touched in years is a good place to start. Start by sorting through winter clothes. Then, as you divide the "Donate," "Keep," "Sell," and "Trash" piles, you can put your keep-able stuff into storage. Then, go through your spring, summer, and fall clothes the same way. This is a good way to earn some extra cash, too! Check out the app, Poshmark, to sell your fashionable, but no-longer-useful-to-you, clothes.
Spring clean: Get rid of, donate, or recycle things you no longer need! Decluttering can free up lots of space for you to redecorate and reorganize. It's also a good time to freshen up your apartment or home, and finally get to cleaning places you admittedly haven't cleaned for months....
Adjust your budget and reduce expenses: Spring is a good time to reevaluate your budget, and adjust where necessary. As much as budgeting seems like a daunting task, the benefits are worth the time. Look at your where you've been spending money, and see if you can cut back in some areas. Or, maybe you want to budget for something fun -- like a road trip, or a new spring wardrobe! Remember to budget wisely, and always pay yourself first! See the budgeting apps that can simplify this!
You may even be able to reduce some of your expenses, like the electricity bill. Open the curtains for natural light! Hang the laundry outside instead of using the dryer. Or, reduce gas costs by taking out your bike that has been parked in storage all winter.
Get into a fresh workout routine: Revitalize your routine with a fresh workout. When a nice day comes, take advantage! Head outside for a walk or jog! Spring is a precursor to summertime, which means beach time and bathing suit weather. Start boosting your workout so you can have fun outside!
