HOLY COW! Have any of you been through this before? I am now one day away from getting married. In fact, it's less than 24 hours away. I am SO HAPPY to be almost married to my lovely fiancée Margaux and at this time tomorrow, we will have a Mrs. Young & Free Maine. Today in the third installment of wedding fun, we are going to look at the very last things you should be doing the day before your wedding. There are always some last minute things that need to happen to ensure that your wedding day goes smoothly and with few snafus! Here's a few helpful tips you should use when you are one day away from tying the knot!
Put together a last minute emergency kit
Believe it or not, I actually wrote about this in a much earlier blog...I believe it was way back in August of last year! My younger sister got married and in honor of her getting married, I made a list of things to have in an emergency kit. If you remember back that long ago, I said floss, granola bars, gold bond body powder and antacids are all important things to keep handy the day of the wedding!
Rather than flying by the seat of your pants on the wedding day, make sure you meet with the person who is going to marry you...not your spouse to be...I mean like the minister or justice of the peace. Obviously you'll be seeing your fiancée at some point the day before the wedding. It's nice to take a dry run of the ceremony so you'll all know where to stand, what the schedule looks like and how long the ceremony should take. I don't advise just showing up for your wedding the day of if you haven't had a dry run! It may not run as smoothly as you'd like.
GET SOME REST
Seriously...you're going to have an insanely busy day tomorrow. You're going to want all the sleep you can get! Make sure you're in bed at a respectable time so you don't end up a zombie at your ceremony. No, zombies are no good at weddings. GET YOUR REST!
