My ears are still singing with the great music from the KahBang Festival. I had so much fun with all the music fans at the event that it’s hard to believe it was considered a day at work for me. How did I get so lucky?
I started off the weekend with the Kickoff Concert in downtown Bangor where our very own Sound Off Competition winner, Rob Burnell, got the party started with his set. Rob continued to prove just why he was voted the winner of the competition. The crowd loved his acoustic guitar covers and he charmed everyone with his original music. Congratulations again to Rob!
The first day of the event was a whirlwind of great music, fun people and good times. I love live music, so being at the festival as the Young & Free Maine spokester was a dream come true. I loved talking to all of my fellow music fans and having the chance to get on stage and introduce some of the musical acts.
Check out the video above for a quick look at what went down at KahBang.
Here's a peak at what's to come for Young & Free Maine over the next two weeks.
Next week I'll bring you back to school tips and tricks from the Bowdoin College orientation.
Get ready for Extreme Week from August 27th to September 31st. I'll start the week off with a two-part series on the popular extreme couponing craze, an interview with an extreme athlete and an extremely delicious recipe on Fresh Baked Friday.
