What is KahBang all about?
The KahBang Music, Art, and Film Festival serves to discover, support, and develop new and emerging artists. In the community, artists explore and expose their creative work, and share their music, art, and films. In the past, the festival has showcased musical artists including BoB, OK Go, Bassnectar, Lupe Fiasco, My Morning Jacket, and many more.
Where is KahBang?
KahBang started in Bangor, Maine as a one-day event on the Bangor waterfront. Since 2009, the festival has been hosted in Bangor, but this year, the festival has taken an exciting turn to downtown Portland. The exhibition venues include Portland’s State Theatre, Port City Music Hall, One Longfellow Square, CTN, The Big Easy, and Monument Square.
When are all the events?
The KahBang Festival officially kicks off on Thursday night August 7th, and ends Sunday, August 10th, with lots of exciting films, musicians, and artists being featured throughout the four-day event.
Why make the trip?
If you are a music, art, or film fan, the KahBang Festival is the place to be. Talented artists, musicians and producers need your support! Without an audience to share exciting emergences in the music, film and art industries, there would not be opportunity for these talented individuals to excel. So, come and enjoy all of the creative talent at this year’s KahBang Festival.
