Music Monday: Best of 2013

A look back before we go forward

Here at Young & Free Maine we rung in the new year by launching our 3rd annual Sound OFF music competition. The contest gives talented, young, Mainers a chance to win a spot to perform live at Kahbang Music & Art Festival and receive a gift certificate to Main Street Music Studios in Bangor, Maine.

Since this contests celebrates the young and talented of the new year, I thought it would be appropriate to recap some of the most popular songs of 2013.

Would it surprise you if I said Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are at the top of the charts for 2013?! According to Spotify's Year In Review Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's debut album, The Heist, was the most streamed album in the world, with Can't Hold Us taking the cake as the top song of 2013.
