When we're hungry we just jump at the first thing we see.Snacking is an essential part of my day and sometimes I don't make the best choices. But have no fear, I have the perfect snack for everyone. It is a mix of salty and sweet to satisfy all!
The perfect snack might be trail mix, but you don't have to be hiking to enjoy it. Trail mix is considered an ideal snack food for hikes, because it is lightweight, easy to store, and nutritious, providing a quick energy boost from the carbohydrates in the dried fruit or granola, and sustained energy from fats in nuts.
You can make trail mix in different zip lock bags to take to work or school with you every day of the week. And the best part is you can make it however you want. I used unsalted almonds, dried cranberries, Chex cereal, granola, and semi sweet chocolate chips.
Use any nut or dried fruit of your liking, add some M&M's or chocolate morsels and you've got a perfect snack!
