Tasty Thursday: Father's Day Food

Father's Day is coming right up, and in a few short days we'll be celebrating our dads! I mean, we should probably be thankful for our dads every day of the year, but this is the one time each year where we set aside a day to really express our gratitude for our fathers. Instead of buying your Padre (father in Spanish) a tie this year, why not cook him something totally awesome for lunch! Ties are nice, but I have a feeling that food is something he'll probably appreciate a bit more. So here are a few tasty Father's Day foods you can cook for him!

BBQ

It doesn't matter what kind of barbecue you make, holding a nice cook out for your dad is something he'll probably love you for. I mean...he loves you already, but an afternoon grilling some burgers and dogs on the porch alongside some tasty Potato salad and brewskis (if you're of age) is a great way to tell your dad, "Happy Father's Day!"

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies

Oh my heavens!  This sounds like something your dad will love, doesn't it? Peanut butter + Chocolate + Bacon = AMAZING! Sure, maybe your mom has already made something for your dad to eat for lunch, but tell her that you'll be bringing over a little dessert. Hit them with these cookies and your dad will probably explode with happiness. I mean, let's be honest...it's his day! You might as well rock his world with these cookies.

Cauliflower 'Wings'

For your vegetarian father...I don't know if they exist, but on the off chance that your dad is a vegetarian, here's a super easy and tasty recipe for cauliflower wings! Thankfully, I eat meat so I'll probably never have to sacrifice meat for cauliflower, but it could be a fun appetizer to try out on your dad...or other friends. Who knows!

What are you doing for your dad this year?
