Thank You

The last thirteen days have been a whirlwind of new and exciting experiences. When the top 3 finalists were announced, I was catapulted into a world of television appearances, radio spots and promoting for votes on Facebook and Twitter. I was given a platform to blog and create videos about important issues. I got to connect with my peers and meet many new people across the state. I have learned so much during these two weeks and I am so thankful for the experience.

I hope it doesn’t end here. I would love to continue blogging, making videos, and connecting with my peers as the next Young & Free Maine spokesperson. I have so many money-saving tips, delicious recipes, fun ideas, and useful financial information to share with you. Though it might be challenging at times, I would enjoy the opportunity to improve my skills, learn new things, and help my peers live a financially fit life. If given the opportunity to be the next Young & Free Maine spokesperson, I would work hard every day to represent the 18 to 25 crowd and Maine’s credit unions in the best way possible.

Regardless of who is chosen, I know that my generation will be represented by a great person with a passion for connecting with others and sharing important information. Danielle and Alex are wonderful people, each with unique qualities they would bring to the position, and I wish them the best of luck.

Thank you to all who voted, shared, Tweeted, e-mailed, called and helped me spread the word. I am absolutely flattered by all of the support from my family, friends, and total strangers. You guys are amazing.

It is sure to be a nerve-wracking, anxiety-inducing, yet very exciting few days as we wait for the votes to be counted and the judges to deliberate. Whatever happens, I’m so grateful for all of the things I have experienced as a Top 3 finalist.

Reach me on Twitter (@KylieAKeene) anytime. I would love to hear from you. Thank you again to the Young & Free Maine team and all who voted.

Until next time,
