The 30 Day $100: Bring Lunch + Easy Recipes!

Task #5:  If going out to eat is your routine, try packing a lunch this week. Eating out everyday can get pricey, try planning ahead and bringing your own lunch! 

Grabbing lunch on the go every day can get expensive, fast. Preparing lunch at home doesn't have to require much effort, either. Meals like salads, sandwiches, and stir fry are not hard to make, and are much less expensive when prepared at home. Leftovers make great meals, too, and prevent you from wasting food and money. Think ahead on how you can bring your lunch to work this week, and save the money you otherwise would have spent on eating out! 

Delicious and easy homemade lunch ideas! 

Avocado & Vegetable Sandwich                        Prep Time:  10 minutes

  1. One whole avocado 
  2. Fresh lettuce, tomato, onion 
  3. Two slices whole wheat bread
  4. Salt and pepper

Purple Potato Stir Fry      Prep Time:  30 mins., cook potatoes until tender, refrigerate & reheat

  1. Purple Potatoes
  2. Broccoli, onion, celery
  3. Seasoning of your choice
  4. Olive oil

Chinese Macaroni Salad                                                 Prep Time:  35 mins, refrigerate & reheat

  1. Elbow macaroni, cook until al dente
  2. Vegetables (mushrooms, red peppers, onions and celery), cook until tender
  3. Heat all contents together on low in a pot, add soya sauce to taste, cook 10 mins.
