Throwback Thursday

Do you remember Aaron Carter? Of course you do.

How could you forget this blonde headed pop star of the late 90s? You may know him as Nick Carter's little brother or more recently as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. You may even own one of his albums. His most famous songs were pure pre-teen pop gold. The words of Aaron's Party (Come Get It) are forever stuck in my brain. I can't help singing along when I hear the opening line of That's How I Beat Shaq.

"And it goes, and it goes, and it goes a little something like this, HIT IT!"

I was a huge Aaron Carter fan as a pre-teen but unfortunately I never got to see him in concert. The tickets were probably wildly expensive and at 10 years old I didn't have my own means of income or transportation, and I know my parents were not about to drive me to see a show. I'm sure I suffered many nights thinking that I would never see the singer in the posters on my wall in real life... Would my dreams ever come true?

Fast forward 13 years. Finally, my 10 year old dreams are becoming reality. Tomorrow night my friends and I will see the one and only Aaron Carter perform live in concert! How crazy is that? When I heard about the concert I knew I had to go. How could I not? My 10 year old self is beyond excited.

I love it when artists from my childhood, or really anything from the 90s and early 2000s, tries to make a comeback. It looks like 2013 will be filled with throwbacks to our childhood years from this Aaron Carter concert tour, a Boy Meets World spin-off, to a few purely 90s fashion trends.

Unfortunately, there are also a few things from this era that we may never see again. Remember these tasty treats?

So while I may never wash down a bag of Doritos 3Ds with a few bottles of Squeezits, I will at least get to see one of my teen idols perform live in concert. Dreams really do come true.

Are there any 90s comebacks you'd like to see?
