Wellness Wednesday: Let's Disconnect

We're connected, yet alone

As social media has grown exponentially in the past few years, we as human think we're becoming more social.

Social media and online platforms may give us the feeling of being more social and "connected" with our peers but it leads to less face time and less time actually interacting with other humans.

It's not an uncommon feeling to be lonely, but what is the connection between loneliness and social networks?

This video titled, The Innovation of Loneliness explores how we are all connected but alone.

If we are to avoid the loneliness that comes from social media, we must change the way we connect with our peers. Call old friends more often, set up one night a week to see your friends and truly connect with them.

Be well,
