Maine Credit Union League Update
In effort to give back to Maine communities this holiday season, Young & Free Spokester Mallory Lavoie launched another, month-long Instagram challenge cheerfully named, Spread The Joy, on November 1st. After success with her first Instagram challenge—The 30 Day $100 Challenge, which challenged subscribers to save $100 in a variety of different way throughout the Month of July—she is back for another engaging social media contest.
This time around, the Spread The Joy Instagram challenge aims for a different goal. "Credit unions do so much to give back in the communities they serve. I wanted to find a way to give back to communities during the holiday season and get other young people involved too," explained Lavoie.
From November 1-30, Lavoie will post use Instagram and www.youngfreemaine.com to post ideas on how to give back in your community. Those wanting to participate can use Mallory's ideas to give back or come up with their own creative way to give back.
Lavoie is challenging her followers and potential new followers to post photos, selfies, or videos of how they are giving back. "It could be as simple as donating books to a library or buying a friend lunch," Lavoie reported. "I want to see how people spread the joy in their neighborhoods and communities."
Anyone can participate by adding a photo to Instagram, tagging @YoungFreeME, and using the hashtag #SpreadTheJoy. All participants will be entered into a weekly random drawing for a $25 gift card. Be sure to follow Mallory on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to follow along!
